On Friday, September 12th, our partner from IDAlert, Dr. Antonios Michaelakis, Alternate Member of the Board of Directors of the Hellenic National Public Health Organization and Head of the Laboratory of Insects & Parasites of Medical Importance at the Benaki Phytopathological Institute (BPI), spoke during the BPI workshop at the 89th Thessaloniki International Fair, hosted in the pavilion of the Ministry of Rural Development and Food.
Dr. Michaelakis presented on “BPI’s initiatives to highlight opportunities in the agricultural sector and improve citizens’ daily lives”, and had the opportunity to share the outcomes of the IDAlert program, underlining its significant potential for research and innovation.
Throughout the fair, the IDAlert video “How is Greece fighting vector-borne diseases in a changing climate” was continuously displayed, capturing the attention of many visitors and further boosting the visibility and impact of the program.
In addition, informational material from the Mosquito Alert application was distributed, raising immediate and meaningful public awareness about vector-borne diseases.
