Introducing EpiOutlook: join our launch events

We are excited to announce the launch of EpiOutlook, the seasonal risk indicator platform developed as part of the IDAlert project by the Barcelona Supercomputing Center (BSC). EpiOutlook links sub-seasonal to seasonal climate forecasts with validated indicators for climate-sensitive infectious diseases, providing an early warning tool to help decision-makers across Europe prepare for and respond to disease threats.

To celebrate its launch, we are hosting two events — an in-person gathering in Barcelona and an online webinar open to everyone. Come and hear from the development team, meet key stakeholders from global health policy, and explore how EpiOutlook can support climate-health decision-making now and into the future.

EpiOutlook in-person launch — Barcelona

Date: Tuesday 3 June 2026
Time: 16:00 – 18:30 CEST

The event will feature a presentation of the platform by the development team, including Rachel Lowe, Diana Urquiza, Rebeca Nunez, Emily Ball and Emma Roberts,  followed by a keynote from Hunter Jones, Lead of Climate Services for Health at WMO (WHO-WMO Climate and Health Joint Programme).
