Earlier in November, IDAlert joined our partners at the Centre d’Estudis Avançats de Blanes (CEAB-CSIC), who are leading our case study in the Empordà wetlands (Catalonia), studying land use change and vector dynamics.
As part of CEAB’s Science Week, which offers the public insights into ongoing research, we were invited to highlight the connections between climate change and its impacts on environmental, animal, and human health, an approach known as One Health and central to IDAlert’s mission.
Our partner Three o’clock facilitated an interactive workshop with 25 participants from the local community. The workshop engaged attendees in exploring, learning, and discussing how climate change, environmental degradation, and public health are interlinked through the One Health perspective.
This session created a valuable space for open dialogue about climate and health challenges and opportunities, with special emphasis on the work IDAlert is advancing in Catalonia.
