  • The significance of entomological surveillance
  • Recent data on mosquito-borne diseases in Greece
  • The role of the National Public Health Organization (NPHO)
  • Integrated mosquito control programs implemented by the Region of Attica

Dr. Antonios Michaelakis, Head of the Laboratory of Insects and Parasites of Public Health Importance at BPI and Alternate Member of the NPHO Board of Directors, and leading the IDAlert case study in Greece, presented on “Latest outcomes from mosquito surveillance and control.”

The session concluded with an open discussion, providing participants the opportunity to exchange views, raise questions, and explore collaborative approaches to mosquito control and public health preparedness in the context of climate change.
